How To Get The Most Out Of Your Weekend

Happy Friday! Like everyone else, I love the weekends. During the weekday I work all day and watch Netflix all night. But the weekends? That’s when I get to have some fun. If you’ve kept up with my blog you’ve seen that I’ve spent some weekends traveling, getting my craft on and even grape stomping. To help you get inspired to make the most out of your weekend here are a few things you can do!

1.   Those friends you’ve been meaning to see? Now is the time to call them and get together! I’m having dinner tonight with my two best friends and it’s been forever since I’ve seen them. So grab a few drinks and catch up!
2.   Go to the local farmers market. Each weekend I can usually be found at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market. There’s great food, affordable fruits and vegetables, flowers and you can bring your dog! Plus it makes for great Instagram photos ;) Or you can always do my personal favorite and go to garage sales and estate sales looking for some treasures among the nick knacks.

3.   Take a trip. When Saturday comes around you have two full days to make the most of. I once read this Buzzfeed article on stunning small towns to visit in Florida and I have been slowly checking them off my list. Just because you may not live in the Sunshine State doesn’t mean there aren’t beautiful places right in your backyard!
4.   Get shit done. Not every weekend is about going on these grand adventures. Sometimes you just need to buckle down and get stuff done. Finish your work, clean your apartment and run those overdue errands. And once all of that is done grab a glass of wine and think about how productive you were. Or, you could just grab a beer and watch TV all day. That works too.

5.   Plan for the week. This is something I have been trying to work on. I’m going to start trying to write all my blog posts for the week on the weekend so I’m not multi-tasking writing a blog and watching Scandal (exactly what I’m doing now). Another thing I want to start doing is packing lunches for the week. I’m the worst when it comes to bringing my lunch. I literally eat out everyday. It’s terrible. But it’s never to late to start right?

What are some plans you have for the weekend?
